This can include setting rules for cooking in the cafeteria, storing flammable items safely and making sure that the people within the building know the rules of fire safety. It’s best to have a proper fire escape route map displayed around the building. The more people know about fire safety within the building, the quicker they can get out.
Training Drills
No matter how many employees are in the building, fire drills should be held at least once a year. These drills will make sure that the employees know exactly where to go in case a fire does happen. During these drills, you will want to design a meeting place, designate exit points and create a route that gets the employees out as fast as they can. Just remember, you will want to hold these drills as a surprise and never let them know when you’re going to hold them.
