How often do I have to have a fire / smoke damper inspection?
Per NPFA 80 – 19.4.1 2010 Edition States: Each damper shall be tested and inspected 1 year after installation.
Per NFPA 80 – 19.4.1.1 2010 Edition States: The test and inspection frequency shall then be every 4 years, except in hospital, where the frequency shall be every 6 years.
How often do I have to have a fire door inspection?
To maintain a facility’s passive fire protection, healthcare facilities are required to follow NFPA 80 – 5.2.1 2010 Edition which states: Fire door assemblies shall be inspected and tested not less than annually, and a written record of the inspection shall be signed and kept for inspection by the AHJ. What is the turnaround time for repairs to be completed after the inspection process is finished?
Although, BRAND is able to turn around the inspection finding very quickly and can proceed with repairs immediately, the turnaround time is dependent on each facility. As soon as a facility is able to generate the proper documentation to begin work, BRAND will be able to staff your facility within a few days and quicker for emergencies.
