Sponsored by the Door Security and Safety Foundation the sessions will be focused on “Fire Door Inspection and Testing” requirements in this one-week classroom setting. The primary objective within the Foundation’s mission is to support the annual fire/egress door inspection initiative by creating awareness of this important update to the NFPA 80 and 101 standards, and their inclusion in the International Building Code and International Fire Code. Through the Foundation’s educational efforts, we help stakeholders understand the code implications and complexity of the products and applications.
Health Care Facility Engineers/Door Maintenance Mechanics
These important stakeholders must understand life safety through proper fire and smoke containment. These are critical issues in health care facilities, and doors and hardware are essential elements demanding their utmost attention. Code compliance and insurance audits aside, properly operating fire and egress doors are top the list of areas requiring constant maintenance and regular inspections. We have several offerings to support these educational needs.
