BRAND’s Director of Healthcare Compliance, Joseph Glaski, MBA, FASHE,FDAI will be providing a week-long educational session on NFPA 80 Standard for Fire Doors and other Opening Protectives. Other Materials that will be covered are COR140 Using Codes and Standards and DAI600 Fire and Egress Door Assembly Inspection. Sponsored by the Door Security and Safety Foundation the sessions will be focused on “Fire Door Inspection and Testing” requirements in this one-week classroom setting. The primary objective within the Foundation’s mission is to support the annual fire/egress door inspection initiative by creating awareness of this important update to the NFPA 80 and 101 standards, and their inclusion in the International Building Code and International Fire Code. Through the Foundation’s educational efforts, we help stakeholders understand the code implications and complexity of the products and applications.

These are critical issues in health care facilities, and doors and hardware are essential elements demanding their utmost attention.
